SEVERAL YEARS AGO, a group of men gathered to discuss the deeper issues of life and study the writings of wise men who lived before, especially Christian writers and theologians.
That fellowship of men was called 'Deadmens.' They would also gather around a large bonfire during certain times of the year to enjoy the comraderie of other likeminded men, a pipe of tobacco or a good cigar, and friendly yet often heated discussions into the night about life, God, politics, women, and matters of the heart. It is out of this tradition that Dead Men's Pipes was born.
We hope to encourage men everywhere to meet around fires, share their dreams and aspirations, as well as their sins and failures, to encourage and exhort one another - the older men to mentor the younger. And, enjoy the swirling aromatic smoke from an old pipeful of seasoned tobacco, as many of those who came before us did.
We search the world - from estate sales to antique auctions - to find previously owned vintage briar wood and meerschaum pipes that have been 'left behind.' We then recondition these vintage pipes and offer them to you for a fraction of what they would cost brand new.
